scott densmore has some notes on helping to get enterprise library to “work” in beta2
check out the pics of ibm's new proposed tablet...cool
In this video, Rick LaPlante addresses the six key questions that arose following the pricing and licensing announcement:
What about the little guy?
Why are you raising the price of MSDN Universal?
Why don't I get the server when I buy the client?
If you were a consultant, what would you buy?
If I do all of the roles, which product do I buy?
Didn't the “universal” in MSDN Universal mean I get everything?

well, it looks like someone beat me to it on the doc lib explorer: (Document Library Explorer 1.0). i kinda figured this was going to happen as i haven't had much time lately to dedicate to these tools. UPDATE: i just saw martinm's post about this tool, you may want to check it out: http://blogs.tamtam.nl/mart/MoreSharepointOnGotDotNet.aspx
additionally as a result, feedreader has suffered and the much needed fixes (for proxies) have not been implemented. because of this, i've decided (finally, some may say) to release feedreader source code in the wild under the creative commons license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/).
i'll need to clean some things...
ms just released info on wss sp2. check out the walkthrough doc.
hey robertk -- they mention info about hostname environments ;-)
need to know the name of a song, but don't know who sings it or anything else?
when you hear it, call 866-411-SONG, hold your cell phone up to the speaker...and wait for your SMS message with the title/artist.
i tried it twice with Psycho Killer from the Talking Heads and Cowboy Song from Thin Lizzy and it worked both times.
of course, my cell phone is now strewn across the dialers of the world i'm sure, but still...pretty cool.
wow. a month and a half before the event and it is sold out. a key to getting to teched (even a sold out one) is to get involved in your community (user groups, local events, etc) -- get to know your regional director and your evangelist team for your area.
community thought leaders generally can get “stuff” even when “stuff” isn't available ;-)
Join us for tomorrow's AZGroups user group meeting at interface.

last night i had the opportunity (as i do every month, so i guess it’s not an opportunity, but rather a regular thing) to go to the phoenix java user group meeting.
why are you going to that? why not. i’m a software developer. they talk about software development. yeah, they talk about java, but it’s always interesting to see why people are using the wrong technologies. oops did i say that out loud? i am kidding of course. i go because it is interesting to see what *all* technologies are doing to adapt to the changing needs of business and...
use vss and want to know some cool tips-n-tricks to do some tracking and cool embedding stuff...

i've been thinking recently about beta software. i've recently been trying to learn why some companies, already heavily invested in .net technologies wouldn't rapidly adopt .net beta 2. i mean, it isn't drastically different (as was the perception of the .net framework from previous windna platform technologies)...it's still .net -- just a better .net.
in my conversations with individuals and companies alike, mostly the response has been “it's still beta [dude]” (dude added in for the individual response. okay, yeah, you're right it is. but what if i told you that ms offers a go-live license (as they have done in...
